Sanger is the son of a financial advisor. He grew up watching his father, Shawn Smith, guide families through some of the most important financial decisions of their lives. He saw firsthand what it meant to serve people with integrity — and what it cost to do it well.

After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Economics, Sanger joined his father's firm. He spent the next 10 years learning the craft, building relationships, and developing a deep conviction about what families really need from their financial advisor.
